What your trainer eats

I am lucky to have had a good education about nutrition since childhood. Being of a Mediterranean origin, I grew up surrounded by olive trees, orange trees, fields of organic vegetables and the Mediterranean sea.

My day starts by drinking Turmeric tea, which is light, refreshing, and gets digestion moving first thing in the morning. Having a healthy digestive system is a key factor to achieve optimal health.

The diet I follow consists of organically grown and seasonal vegetables, Fresh fish and organic meat sourced from local farms. I avoid sugar and I have Zero processed food.

I have a coffee on the way to work or if I have time at home.

First meal :

I love having an acai bowl for breakfast; I like to have it raw and unsweetened with or without fruit. I also love chia seeds with coconut milk and coconut flakes or avocado and eggs.

My approach to food is not just about satisfying a hunger, my diet is nutrient and anti oxidant rich and I enjoy flavor and cooking.

Lunch would be mostly sushi, salmon and avocado or vegetarian sushi with brown rice. I love grains like quinoa; it is so delicious and you can mix it with any salad.

One of my favorite recipes is one I made with red veg.

 

The recipe:

Thinly sliced red cabbage, pomegranates, cherry tomatoes, lemon juice, salt, pepper and olive oil.

You can add beetroot or replace the red cabbage with broccoli.

It is loaded with vitamins and antioxidants.

I snack on Edamame beans in the afternoon especially when I finish late at the studio. Edamame is rich with protein, fiber, and omega fatty acids.

I love miso soup I can have it any time of the day.

Dinner would be protein with roasted vegetables or soup like a vegetarian tofu pho; I try not to eat late so I can have a good night’s sleep.

 

  • I drink green tea or Matcha and Kukicha, Japanese twig tea, which is an alkalizing drink. It neutralizes the acidity and is very rich in vitamins, minerals and high in calcium content
  • I drink tons of water throughout the day to stay hydrated and avoid fatigue.

 

My advice is to eat organic food that doesn’t have pesticides and promotes health and wellbeing.

Have Plenty of greens!

Cut down on sugar and midnight snacking.

Have a protein-rich diet .

Have your carbs during the day so no later than 7 pm.

Do not starve yourself.

 

Food should be used as a medicine and cure. You are what you eat; be mindful about what you choose to put in your body.
